Beginners Yoga
Beginner classes provide a gentle introduction to yoga to help improve flexibility, strength and stress management, while laying the foundation for more advanced practices. This class focuses on the foundational poses, proper alignment, basic breathing techniques and body awareness. Classes are paced more slowly with detailed instructions and modifications to ensure accessibility and safety. Intermediate Yoga
This class builds on the foundational elements of Beginners Yoga. It involves more complex poses and sequences, requiring a greater level of strength, flexibility and body awareness. Hips and Shoulders
Gentle Hips and Shoulders yoga is designed for people who are experiencing tightness and discomfort in these areas. In this class we focus on increasing strength, mobility and balance in the body as well as increasing postural awareness. Hip opening yoga poses stretch the muscles around the hip joint and pelvis including the buttocks, hamstrings, inner thighs, groin and abdomen. These are common areas of tightness that can cause lower back pain, weak joints and more. Shoulder opening yoga poses aim to stretch and open the shoulder joints. They encourage a full range of motion to align with the spine. The benefits of this class are many, including releasing tension and tightness, improving flexibility and mobility, reducing lower back pain, encouraging better balance and posture. With regular practice the hip and shoulder joints also get stronger and healthier. |
